Free Use Utility for Horizon libraries
To introduce our services, the development team has created a FREE program called PINPal™. PINPal is an application written for Horizon libraries that can set or reset borrower PINS from data in your Horizon database. PINPal provides a PREFERENCES choice where you can enter the information necessary to access your system, and then configure your desired actions for setting PINs. Perhaps you want to populate all empty PIN fields with a postal code or the last four digits of a phone number. Simply select the appropriate preference and then press TEST to display sample data that matches your criteria. When the test data displays what you want, press RUN to rewrite your borrower PINs. Whether you're adopting PC Reservation® and have decided to use barcode plus PIN for validation, or you simply want to start using PINs as secondary identification to access borrower accounts on the web, this FREE utliity is for you - written by experienced Horizon programmers that recently left SirsiDynix to join the EnvisionWare team. EnvisionWare SMS Manager™
A Tool to Generate Automatic Text (SMS) Messages Based on Integrated Library System (ILS) Queries
SMS Manager generates data based on notices already generated in the ILS and packages that data for upload to an SMS provider. The application provides libraries with the ability to automatically batch notices for SMS delivery to patrons (currently for holds). The information can be configured for automatic transmission to the SMS provider on a regular schedule. Libraries use an SMS provider to actually send the notices. This SMS provider manages the template.

Graphical interface for managing the schedule configuration options.
Flag posted to the ILS that data is sent - avoids the ILS sending it again as a paper or email notice.
Automatic - once it is set the library can forget it.
Easily Configured - the library can alter selection criteria and schedules without programmer assistance.
-- Library can elect to send to specific or all borrower types (btypes in Horizon)
-- Library can elect to send to all or some phone types (for example, can send SMS only to borrowers with type ABC and phone type MOB if preferred).
-- Library can quickly change the configuration as required.
-- Library receives automatic notification of number of items notified and date and time sent.
Compatible with Horizon; Unicorn and Symphony options are in development. Other ILS compatibility will be considered.
