Implementation Consultant - Northern California
EnvisionWare is searching for an Implementation Consultant with areas of experience and expertise to join our Professional Services team.
EnvisionWare is a global leader in the creation and deployment of innovative software and hardware systems to support the needs of the library industry.
We are seeking a self directed regional field technician/engineer to provide telephone and onsite installation and support for libraries in Northern California plus 50% travel to the rest of the U.S. and Western Canada.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Provides onsite technical support to local customer base.
- Identifies and documents customer needs and objectives, and use this information to plan, prepare, schedule, and execute on-site and remote software/hardware installation and configuration.
- Configures hardware and software to customer specifications when an order includes items that require pre-deployment configuration.
- Provides customers with Administrative and Staff Training for all software or hardware components purchased.
- Has the ability to establish technical credibility and instill customer confidence in a wide variety of technical environments.
- Has the ability to adapt a discussion of complex technical concerns to various levels of explanation appropriate for the knowledge of each customer.
Candidates with skills or experience in the following areas are a plus:
- Has a strong troubleshooting skill.
- Experience in the library industry.
- Basic knowledge of Macintosh.
- Proficient with Windows operating systems, applications, and OS services.
- Ability to install and configure printers and other peripheral components.
- Good understanding of network systems; Local Area Networks, Wide Area Networks, routers, subnets, firewalls, gateways, proxies and wireless access points.
