Introducing Bob Bogantz

Bob Bogantz joined EnvisionWare after spending a 38-year career with Nokia*, most recently serving as Director of Legacy Products R&D, where he managed 19 products and almost 200 people.

When the opportunity to run Development and IT at EnvisionWare came up through a referral, Bob decided it was the perfect opportunity apply his software experience and leadership skills to a growing company. “My number one priority is to enhance EnvisionWare’s reputation for delivering high quality products on the dates we have committed to our leadership team, sales team, and most importantly our customers,” said Bob. “It’s been so rewarding to put policies and processes in place that are helping us establish and meet our commitments.”

This includes jumping into the CloudNine® Reservation Service product. Development was already well underway when Bob joined, but the complexity of the project made it challenging to establish committed deadlines. He immediately rolled up his sleeves and put a development plan in place with a timeline that included launching with the first customer, Coeur d’Alene Public Library in Idaho.

In addition to Reservation Service, Bob has also been busy establishing new procedures and enhancing existing policies for both development and IT. After a career overseeing a broad product based at Nokia, Bob is used to juggling multiple product plans and deadlines. He’s also used to managing legacy products and is looking forward to shepherding EnvisionWare’s software product line migration to the CloudNine platform over time.

Bob Bogantz and Family

When he’s not a work at EnvisionWare’s Columbus Technology Center (CTC), Bob is busy with his family, which includes his wife and four grown children. Most recently, Bob and his wife traveled to Puerto Rico where he finally was able to meet his new granddaughter. Bob is also an avid endurance cycler, and enjoys riding in events to help raise money for cancer research.
