Employee Spotlight: Jake Young
When it comes to connecting Libraries with technology, Jake Young is in his element. His background includes both Computer Information Systems and Business Administration in Professional Sales. Jake draws on both sides of his education in his current role as Sales Consultant, Circulation Solutions for the Northeast Region. He took over the position from Sue Cashmark who transitioned within the company to a territory closer to her home.
Before coming to EnvisionWare, Jake spent 16 years in sales engineering and management roles, most recently as Solutions Engineer and then National Director at ARC Document Solutions. “It’s been really rewarding to use my technical and sales knowledge to help public libraries,” said Jake. “It’s nice to know that the solutions we provide help our customers meet community needs.”
When Jake’s not on the road meeting with customers, he’s busy at home in the Atlanta area with his wife Sarah and two Sons, Cole (10) and Ryan (4) and his daughter Tori (8). “They’re all very active in sports so we spend a lot of time out at games and practices, it keeps us busy,” said Jake.
His children come by their interests in sports and the outdoors naturally, as Jake is an avid fan of UGA football and the Atlanta Braves. When not rooting for his teams, Jake enjoys hiking and camping.
If you are in the Northeast, chances are you’ve been introduced to Jake. “I’ve been busy on the road and on the phones getting to know my customers,” he said. “It’s been a lot of fun to get to visit libraries and meeting such interesting and talented people.”
