With the SmartHolds shelves, staff can place items in any designated order — alphabetical, date processed or hold expiration date. The RFID-enabled shelves will automatically learn the position for each item. Patrons simply scan their library card and are automatically notified of the item’s shelf location, making it easy to locate and enhancing patron privacy.
