Rob Walsh and Mike Monk2010:The Year Ahead  - A Message from the Founders

We want to express our gratitude to our growing family of customers as we celebrate the arrival of our 10,000th new library in 2010.  Some time in the next sixty days we will install the milestone site that achieves a goal we set three years ago.

What's really important to us is our first customer and our most current, the smallest library with 3 computers using PC Reservation® and the largest RFID/AMH installation in North America in Las Vegas, Nevada.  ALL are of equal importance and it has been our goal since the founding of the Company to serve all of our customers equally.

We have some lofty goals for the next three years and the primary focus is, as has always been the case, customer satisfaction.  What's different is the bar we are setting.   We want you to tell us how we can become the most responsive, helpful, educational, and most valuable partner to your organization.   We're not satisfied with just being the best; we really want to set a standard for customer service that represents the kind of customer experience you would want to tell all your friends about.

Many of you have been with us for twelve years and you like others know that we try hard to take care of your needs.  As we view the tough times faced by our global community, we are considering new ways to provide cost competitive solutions with stellar features and unmatched reliability.

This year we begin the rollout of PC Reservation® V4, a completely new, multi-platform computer management solution for libraries.  Building on the powerful and scalable features of the world's leading PC management solution, V4 will offer a new generation of customization, scalability, multi-layer management, and a host of features designed to fit the needs of EVERY library.  Whether you're in Hong Kong or Rogers, Arkansas, you are important to us and we intend to give you everything you've ever wished for in a library self service solution.

At ALA in Boston in January and the February VALA conference in Melbourne, we released the LibraryPDA™ Barcode Edition.  While RFID is the big buzz, there are many more libraries using barcodes who need new and better ways to serve their patrons.  LibraryPDA Barcode Edition offers all the power of a handheld inventory and staff circulation solution in a lightweight handheld device.

We're also preparing the release of the new Mobile Mac Client for LPT:One™.  As with the Windows Wireless capabilities inherent in the system and used widely in support of patron-owned Windows laptops, a patron using a Mac can now click on a link to run a transient application that prints to the local library or campus printers.

We're also exhibiting the new Advanced Media Tag that provides 'better-than-book' RFID protection for DVDs at a price you won't believe.

Check out the new EnvisionWare Media Controllers that offer one-step checkout and case unlocking for EnvisionWare OneStop™ self service circulation software and All-In-One systems, Polaris Express Check, and Innovative Express Lane.

At ALA, we demonstrated the newest version of the Modular Sorting System that offers visibly faster handling and continued refinement in servicability, noise control, and barcode or RFID materials handling.

Please check back often.  We have a lot in development both in product and service offerings to help with library efficiency and patron self service.

Thank you.
