Food Intolerance Can Be Murder!

How does ‘murder’ fit with Keeping Chooks in your BackYard? Both topics have been topics explored at events held by the team at Cockburn Libraries, in Western Australia. The City of Cockburn has three very active and busy branches in their system. They run a full suite of activities ranging from cooking, to stories, from Pram Jams to LEGO Club.

Some years ago the library implemented Evanced Solutions Events, sold in Australia by EnvisionWare, to manage their event promotion, booking and reporting processes. Recently Cockburn migrated from Events to SignUp, the new event management solution from Evanced Solutions.

SignUp, a calendaring and events solution, enables libraries to attractively promote their special programing, community meetings and events with detailed descriptions, photos and even video. A patron-facing calendar enables patrons to register for upcoming library events on their own. With SignUp, libraries can make the process easy for patrons and staff. Patrons can receive email and SMS notifications and reminders, while staff can generate reports detailing attendance.
