EnvisionWare to Debut Tablet Station Powered by Hublet and Unveil Multiple New Self-service Software Solutions at Upcoming PLA Conference

Release of OneStop™ 3.1 and OneStop™ Launch Command Edition, CloudConnect™ with Remote Administration, and Reservation Service and CloudNine® Platform

Atlanta, GA – EnvisionWare announced today the company will unveil a full line of new and newly released hardware and software at the PLA conference in Nashville. The solutions are in-line with EnvisionWare’s mission of enhancing patron self-service and library efficiency. The following solutions can be seen at the EnvisionWare booth #1101.

Tablet Station powered by Hublet

In an exclusive arrangement with Finnish-based Hublet Oy, EnvisionWare will debut the Tablet Station, powered by Hublet. EnvisionWare is the only distributor of Hublet’s tablet solution in North America. The Tablet Station is designed to make it easy to provide access to a wide range of digital content, from newspapers to ebooks, games and apps, right from a patron self-service service station. With the Hublet Smart Docking Station, customers scan their library card and the docking station will automatically release a tablet for use anywhere within the library.

Designed for patron privacy and library efficiency, Tablet Station maintenance is virtually effortless. When the tablet is returned to the self-service station, all patron data and browsing history is automatically deleted from the device, removing the burden from staff and reducing the probability for error. The Station also recharges and unlocks the Tablet with the most charge for the next patron.

A cloud-based Hublet management service makes it easy for staff to organize, customize, and manage the data on the tablets from any location. Content is customized during checkout for each patron type so that children see the options aimed at their age group and interests.

Hublet Oy sells and distributes the Hublet Solution in Europe, Australia and Asia. The Hublet is available in over 400 locations worldwide, including libraries, hospitals, elderly care houses, restaurants and museums.

OneStop™ 3.1

This new release of EnvisionWare’s OneStop™ self-service circulation software includes many features to make the patron self-service experience even faster and easier. This includes enhanced graphics and accessibility tools, more language options, and integrated eCommerce functionality.

Features such as high contrast mode, increased font and the ability to adjust the screen height are prominently displayed for patron accessibility. Libraries also now have the option to display graphical, directional messages for patron returns for bins, shelves and carts to alleviate the need for paper signage and capture the patron’s attention in real time at the point of return. A new rapid returns mode provides a quick display of return information including the item destination. This mode also prints customed hold slips as items are checked in.

In addition, 3.1 OneStop now offers integrated fine payment options that make it quick an easy for users to select how they want to pay. Intuitive graphics walk users through the payment process so they can pay and be on their way.

OneStop works with EnvisionWare’s hardware solutions or library-supplied hardware.

OneStop™ Launch Command Edition

Launch Command™, the patron self-service kiosk menu for EnvisionWare’s suite of self-service solutions, is now available with the same modern and intuitive interface available in the OneStop™ self-service checkout software.

OneStop™ Launch Command Edition uses the same engaging interface as OneStop, providing all of OneStop’s customization capabilities that are available on the main menu screen. As with OneStop, customers can use their own photos to showcase the library or community, select from a bank of out-of-the box themes, or a combination.

CloudConnect™ with Remote Administration

New remote administration functionality on EnvisionWare’s CloudConnect™ platform makes it easy for customers to monitor and manage their entire network of computers and EnvisionWare self-service solutions from a remote dashboard. With CloudConnect, users have a single view of their computers system wide from a browser window, including the computer name and operating system for the device.

Customers can also create or update an EnvisionWare support case from any computer running EnvisionWare software and CloudConnect will gather logs and configurations automatically and attach them to a support case. CloudConnect also enables customers to configure, install and monitor EnvisionWare software solutions enterprise-wide, including EnvisionWare® System Monitor™, OneStop™ self-service software and EnvisionWare® RFID Software Suite™.

Reservation Service and CloudNine® Platform

At PLA, EnvisionWare will also unveil its new Reservation Service software and its revolutionary CloudNine® platform. The Reservation Service leverages all the flexibility and features of the world’s leading library computer reservation product, PC Reservation® plus many additional features and a completely new product architecture. With the Reservation Service, patrons can easily reserve an unlimited variety of resources, including study rooms, tablets, and 3D printers. Library staff can configure which resources are available, and how the reservation process for each individual type of resource will work.

The Reservation Service is built on CloudNine is a unique, multi-tenant cloud service that makes maintenance and administration virtually effortless for library staff. CloudNine’s ZeroClient removes the burden of updating from customers, from a single branch library to a complex consortium. When there is any form of update to Reservations every customer immediately has that update without requiring staff assistance. This includes everything from small updates and patches, to major new releases. The result is that customers are always running the latest version without manual updates.

Reservation Service set-up takes a matter of hours and is easy to implement. The service can be hosted in the cloud, on a cluster of Amazon Web Services hosts or installed on a library system’s local server or servers. When purchased as a cloud service, there’s no host application to install or update.

EnvisionWare will offer demonstrations of these products at the EnvisionWare booth (#1101) at the upcoming PLA conference in Nashville.
